A group of ordinary people extraordinarily determined to protect the environment, not just by
themselves, but also by sensitizing others towards the importance of environment conservation
and inspiring/ motivating them on to participate in tree-plantation campaigns. We organize tree
plantations and drive various initiatives across many villages and cities in Uttar Pradesh. We
pro-actively engage in identifying potential areas for plantation, keeping in mind the
biodiversity and ecological milieu of the local area.
We try to ensure that the local communities reap multifold benefits; besides restoring the green
cover, the trees also provide them with fruits, flowers, leaves etc. commonly used in the daily
life. Our mission is to sensitize and empower people to return to nature and live in an
environment conducive to their health and well-being. Trees inspires citizens to spare just a
few hours on weekends and work towards making their cities, and their lives greener.
Plant trees in community land and Create an ecosystem wherein community members are engaged in
growing and nurturing trees in long term, Promote bio-diversity by planting native species and
also create a natural habitat, Develop a plantation based rural livelihood program, Create a
self-sustainable ecosystem which flourishes beyond the upkeep and maintenance period and Empower
villagers especially rural women and improving their livelihoods by training them on producing
allied agro products (non-timber forest products).
In addition, planting trees in the farm reduces soil erosion, increases its soil fertility,
water retention capacity and total available nutrients which then increase the yield of the main
crop being planted.
