Jan Chetna (Public Awareness) campaigns are more successful if they are tailored to the context,
values, language, and resources available to local audiences. Awareness campaign can be an
important part of slum and developing community support for changes in the informal justice
sector; it has been shown to change knowledge and attitudes about violence against Girl child
and women.
The campaign will convey to the wider public the messages of tolerance, acceptance, openness,
empathy and respect. The major objectives of campaign is to encourage access to education
because educational awareness is a major key for the success in the area of environmental
protection. In fact without a widespread culture of human rights, democracy is not by itself a
guarantee of respect of human rights.
Jan Chetna - Public Awareness program are being conducted in rural area to discuss various
issues like RTE (right to education), importance of skill development program, women
empowerment, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children, human rights, making of self-help
group, importance of cleanliness, awareness programme related to health, gender-based violence &
domestic violence, child marriage, entrepreneurship, plantation and other social issues.
We also conducts workshops on Personal Safety Education (PSE) at the level of the larger
community wherein children and their parents/ guardians are empowered with knowledge and skills
to respond to Child Sexual Abuse (CSA). So far MUS has directly taught over 1,000 children
personal safety skills and empowered over 400 parents with knowledge and skills to address CSA.
Our Environmental Awareness is about being aware of the environment and environmental issue and
challenges like climate change, global warming, water scarcity, droughts, deforestation, floods
and pollution etc. which can be reduced or managed by using some practical tips to do the same:
Women’s Empowerment initiatives are a great way to explore the world while experiencing new
cultures and contributing to a sustainable cause. Our women’s empowerment interns get a chance
